    Triple product p-adic L-functions associated to finite slope p-adic families of modular forms (Appendix by Eric Urban)

    We p-adically interpolate the relative de Rham cohomology of the universal elliptic curve over strict neighbourhoods of the ordinary locus of modular curves, together with the Hodge filtration and Gauss-Manin connection. Sections of these sheaves provide the so called nearly overconvergent modular forms. This extends previous work of Andreatta, Iovita and Pilloni where we p-adically interpolate powers of the Hodge bundle and in that case the sections coincide with Coleman overconvergent modular forms. We also show that, under suitable assumptions, one can p-adically interpolate the Gauss-Manin connection. This is used to define p-adic L-functions attached to a triple of p-adic finite slope families of modular forms, generalizing previous constructions for Hida families

    Detection of Listeria monocytogenes in foods with a textile organic electrochemical transistor biosensor

    Abstract: Foods contaminated by pathogens are responsible for foodborne diseases which have socioeconomic impacts. Many approaches have been extensively investigated to obtain specific and sensitive methods to detect pathogens in food, but they are often not easy to perform and require trained personnel. This work aims to propose a textile organic electrochemical transistor-based (OECT) biosensor to detect L. monocytogenes in food samples. The analyses were performed with culture-based methods, Listeria Precisℱ method, PCR, and our textile OECT biosensor which used poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT):polystyrene sulfonate (PSS) (PEDOT:PSS) for doping the organic channel. Atomic force microscopy (AFM) was used to obtain topographic maps of the gold gate. The electrochemical activity on gate electrodes was measured and related to the concentration of DNA extracted from samples and hybridized to the specific capture probe immobilized onto the gold surface of the gate. This assay reached a limit of detection of 1.05 ng/ÎŒL, corresponding to 0.56 pM of L. monocytogenes ATCC 7644, and allowed the specific and rapid detection of L. monocytogenes in the analyzed samples.     Effects of post-printing heat treatment on microstructure, corrosion and wet wear behavior of CoCrW alloy produced by L-PBF process

    CoCr alloys are widely used as human implants because of both their superior corrosion resistance and superior mechanical properties (fatigue, wear resistance, etc.) respect to other metal alloys used in biomedical field. In particular, CoCrW alloys are used mainly to produce dental implants. In this study, the effects of thermal treatment on the corrosion resistance and wet wear resistance of CoCrW alloys produced via Laser-Powder Bed Fusion (L-PBF) were investigated, and the corrosion resistance and wet wear resistance of the L-PBF specimens were compared with those of the specimens obtained after forging. The heat treatment involved the solubilization of the alloy at 1150 °C in an Ar-saturated atmosphere, followed by furnace cooling. A detailed microstructural characterization of the L-PBF specimens was carried out using a light microscope and a scanning electron microscope in both the horizontal and vertical growth directions. Scanning Kelvin probe measurements were performed on the heat-treated specimens obtained by three-dimensional printing and forging. The void contents of the specimens were evaluated using the Archimedes’ method and image analysis. Vickers (HV2) hardness measurements were performed to evaluate the mechanical properties of the specimens. The corrosion properties of the specimens were evaluated by carrying out potentiodynamic tests in two different corrosive media (aqueous solution (9 g/L NaCl) at pH = 2 and 7). The corroded areas of the specimens were then examined using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Finally, tribological tests were performed using the pin (Ti counter material)-on-flat configuration under dry and wet conditions, using the same corrosive environments as those used in the potentiodynamic tests and two different stroke lengths. The worn samples were characterized using SEM to investigate their wear mechanisms, and a stylus profilometer was used to determine the wear rates of the materials. The experimental results showed that the additively manufactured CoCrW L-PBF alloy had higher corrosion resistance than the wrought material. In addition, the additively manufactured material showed better dry and wet wear performances than the wrought material. Nevertheless, the heat treatment did not affect the properties evaluated in this study

    Overconvergent Eichler-Shimura isomorphisms for quaternionic modular forms over Q

    In this work we construct overconvergent Eichler-Shimura isomorphisms over Shimura curves over Q. More precisely, for a prime p > 3 and a wide open disk U in the weight space, we construct a Hecke-Galois-equivariant morphism from the space of families of overconvergent modular symbols over U to the space of families of overconvergent modular forms over U . In addition, for all but finitely many weights λ ∈ U , this morphism provides a description of the finite slope part of the space of overconvergent modular symbols of weight λ in terms of the finite slope part of the space of overconvergent modular forms of weight λ + 2. Moreover, for classical weights these overconvergent isomorphisms are compatible with the classical Eichler-Shimura isomorphism.Postprint (author's final draft
